This is an end-to-end business leadership role encompassing P&L ownership, B2B/B2C sales strategy, network expansion (collection centers, labs, corporate tie-ups), clinical partnerships, and operational delivery (phlebotomy, logistics, processing, and TAT management).
The ideal candidate is a high-growth sales and operations veteran from the diagnostics industry who knows how to build clinical trust, establish a market footprint, and run a highly efficient, quality-driven operation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Launch & Scale: Build the business blueprint for the diagnostics vertical from scratch, outlining the expansion roadmap, resource requirements, and market penetration strategy.
  • P&L Management: Topline and bottomline ownership of the diagnostics vertical. Manage pricing strategies, discounting frameworks, operating costs, and unit economics to drive profitability.
  • Market Intelligence: Track competitor moves, industry trends, and pricing structures to position CureBay as a preferred, high-quality, and affordable diagnostics partner.

2. End-to-End Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Doctor & Clinical Engagement: Design and execute the doctor referral sales strategy. Build a high-performing field sales team to engage clinicians, consultants, and hospitals to drive prescriptions.
  • B2B & Corporate Sales: Secure strategic tie-ups with corporate clients, insurance companies, occupational health centers, and government healthcare schemes.
  • Retail & D2C Growth: Collaborate with the D2C Business and Product Owners to design high-yield preventive health packages and optimize consumer-facing retail revenue.

3. Network Expansion & Infrastructure Setup

  • Hub & Spoke Footprint: Identify strategic locations and set up own/franchisee Collection Centers (Spokes) and processing labs (Hubs).
  • Partner Alliances: Negotiate and close commercial agreements with third-party processing labs, radiology centers, and infrastructure providers.

4. Diagnostics Operations, Logistics & Quality

  • Fulfillment & Phlebotomy: Recruit, train, and manage a highly efficient team of phlebotomists for both walk-in center traffic and home sample collection.
  • Cold Chain Logistics: Establish error-free sample management and reverse logistics to ensure sample integrity from collection point to processing lab.
  • TAT & Quality Management: Own Turnaround Time (TAT) and report accuracy metrics. Ensure compliance with clinical quality benchmarks (NABL/ISO standards) and regulatory licensing requirements.

Required Experience & Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Science, Pharmacy, or Business Administration. An MBA or M.Sc/MD in a related clinical field is a major plus.
  • Experience: 12–15+ years of total experience in the diagnostics sector, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Regional Head, Business Head, or Zonal Head) managing a major geography or a business unit.
  • Industry Background: Direct experience with leading national or regional diagnostic chains (e.g., Dr. Lal PathLabs, SRL/Agilus, Metropolis, Thyrocare, Apollo Diagnostics, or regional heavyweights).
  • Proven Builder Track Record: Must have deep, demonstrable experience opening new territories, setting up labs/collection networks, and building sales teams from the ground up.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Clinical Sales Authority: Highly influential network among doctors, hospital administrators, and healthcare professionals, particularly across Eastern India/Odisha.
  • Operational Execution: Deep understanding of the operational mechanics—pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of diagnostics, along with cold-chain logistics.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: High comfort level with ambiguity, rapid change, and resource optimization characteristic of setting up a business from the ground up.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Adept at reviewing operational MIS, sales funnels, collection cohorts, and financial metrics to drive decisions.
